Pradip has 35+ years of diversified experience in Operation, Maintenance and Projects in Steel, Aluminium and Power Plant specialising in industrial automation, a.c./d.c. drives , electrical systems design, retrofitting and integration. He is an Electrical Engineer from NIT, Rourkela and has done Advanced Management Programme at MDI, Gurgaon and European Schools of higher management.After his retirement as an Executive Director (Smelter and Power Complex Unit) of NATIONAL ALUMINIUM COMPANY LTD. (NALCO), Pradip is actively involved in various Smart City solutions and project management consulting. He was also involved in Smart City consultancy project for Imphal, Haldia, Patna, Namchi etc. and also worked as Project Director for Project Management Consultancy, for Namchi Smart City in Sikkim. Currently he is involved with various smart city projects in India and also advises few PSUs on Smart Grid, AMI and Electrical Equipment O&M program.

He spearheaded M/s ARKITECHNO an Empanelled Smart City Consultant Of MoUD, (Government of India) for Smart City consultancy work of Haldia (West Bengal), Aizawl (Mizoram), Imphal (Manipur), Patna (Bihar). He also contributed towards all Infrastructure, ICT, E-Governance, Solar Energy, Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Smart Grid, Water Supply and Safety Management project planning as a project director for Smart City Project Management Consultancy work of Namchi Smart City in Sikkim.
Pradip helped URI Technologies (Associate of UR International, USA) to structure ,build and implement Asset and Equipment Management System project in NESCO Utility (Odisha).
URI Technologies (Associate of UR International, USA) took his advisory service to implement Equipment Management Handover System for Technico India Fire Protection and Detection Systems consisting of Single point Information for Geo locations, Specifications, BoM, Spares, Drawings and O&M Manuals Of all equipments.
Pradip spearheaded the feasibility studies for seamless migration to 220 ka+ from the existing 180ka in the operating pot lines of NALCO Alumium Smelter.
He was instrumental in enhancing the process efficiency and reducing energy consumption in Aluminium Smelter and Captive Power Plant of NALCO through independent Process Control departments.
He was also part of the high level team for feasibility studies for overseas Aluminium plant for NALCO in Iran and also part of the Feasibility Study team in Quebec, Canada for Aluminium downstream facilities as Director of Angul Aluminium Park Pvt.Ltd.
Other professional activities :
He served as National Council member for Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkata for 04 consecutive years and also donned the position of Chapter Chairman for IIM, Angul Chapter for 05 years. He also worked as a Chairman of Alumni Association of NIT, Rourkela (Talcher-Angul chapter).

He Published and presented technical papers pertaining to Aluminium Smelter in various national and international seminars / conferences.
He also published a technical paper titled “SWOT perspectives of prebaked Aluminium Smelters” in Light Metals journal and presented the same in the prestigious TMS – 2011 Conference at San Diego, USA in February’ 2011.
He was part of Indian delegation from Ministry of Mines (Govt.of India) in the biggest annual mining conclave of the world, PDAC-2012 at Toronto, Canada.
